American and Hollywood Singer/Actress Mary Millben joins the inaugural ‘All American Diwali’ celebration in New York at The World Trade Center and streamed live across the United States, India, and the world. Follow Mary’s socials for the official link to stream Mary’s performance on Wednesday, November 3rd followed by an epic fireworks display in celebration of Diwali. And visit the World Trade Center starting November 2nd through November 4th to see the official Diwali animation displayed on the World Trade Center!
THEME OF ‘DARKNESS TO LIGHT’
Custom made, culturally sensitive animated murals will be broadcast on the ICONIC multistoried platform of the WTC Podium. Tens of thousands of tourists and locals flock by everyday. The animation is meant to provide pride of ownership for our community while normalizing Indian imagery during the #AllAmericanDiwali.
FALL FIREWORKS SYNONYMOUS WITH DIWALI
Continue the American Tradition of watching fireworks over the Hudson River by embracing it with the Indian Festival of Diwali. This will inspire conversations led by Indian Americans regarding Diwali with our neighbors, colleagues, and friends of different backgrounds across the United States.
Since July 4, 1777, fireworks have defined United States’ Independence Day. Our aim is to empower Indian Americans celebrating a millennia old holiday with an American pastime.
